Late Night Musings

20150305_143418Do you ever get those urgent feelings of doing something seemingly so important that you drop whatever you were supposed to be doing to do that certain task?

Tonight, I was supposed to finish my vision board but an itching feeling inside of me kept resurfacing. So? I did it.

I was quite moved last Thursday from a stranger who said to keep things in your life (and respectively – in your living quarters) that are of value to you. There is an unexplained sense of magic and satisfaction of de-cluttering your life, he said, and it signifies how you live and view your life.

The more you carry, the heavier things get, and the more you do that, the more we can never move on and have peace with ourselves.

We can never move on and have the happiness we deserve in our lives.

And you know what? I am so tired of being a loser and being so mediocre at life. I didn’t make all these sacrifices all these years just to become like everyone else.

I was born in this world to do something special – so it’s time to live my destiny.

What better way to do this than to start with a clean slate? It’s time to let go of the things that I held on from the past.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Take A Pause

Feelings of discouragement sometimes settle in but the little reminders of everyday’s blessings and magic never fail to put a smile on my face.

What would I do without the gift of friendship? The gift of interaction? The gift of being blessed through blessing others? The gift of service, the gift of having purpose, the gift of life’s journey?

Remember, it’s okay to pause in your journey so as long as you never stop. Keep your final destination in mind and fear not the obstacles that may litter your path.

Reading Between The Lines

Hi, stranger.

It’s been a while. I’ve seen you stealing glances from me, as if to let me know – I’m still here. I raise my eyes when you aren’t looking, but sometimes you catch me and I catch you…

What do I do? Do I smile? Do I look away?

I’ve been purposely avoiding you since then – I needed my focus and I needed a lot of time to sort everything out. I needed time alone. My sense of self and my sense of purpose were all falling apart.

But now I am here. Now I am in front of you.

Now I am not afraid.

Hello WordPress.

Is it too late to say, can we start over again?

Walt Disney: Vision

Most powerful thought of the day from Marcus:

Walt Disney was once enlisted in the army back in the day, but soon enough, he was regarded as a failure there because he spent all day drawing cartoons.

Walt then decided to pursue his dreams and work as a cartoonist for a publishing company. Things eventually turned sour as he lost his rights to some of his creations….

Trying again one more time…. he created his own company, but a deal once more turned its back on him, leaving the happiest man on earth dead broke.

Yet Walt never gave up.
He had vision. He had a mission to pursue. He had to find the happiest place on earth and plant his flag there.

And somewhere in between then and now, Walt never gave up and Walt had a burning vision to make his dreams come true.

Today, as it stands, Walt Disney proves to be one of the most successful and widespread enterprises in the world.

The real question is,
Is Walt the only one?

Is Walt really the only one who has a vision?

Perhaps all of us do have visions.
It depends whether or not we act on it.

Daily Thoughts

Awake, yet again

Awake yet again from the long hiatus from my digital space!

Admittedly because of life and non stop travels to places known and unknown, I’ve been relying heavily on my written daily journal to record my thoughts there instead of here.

There’s absolutely nothing like free writing with pen and paper.

It feels so freeing.

Major lessons learned these past few days, weeks and months:

  • Everything has their own timing. Forcing things that aren’t supposed to happen will only hurt you in the end.
  • It’s normal to fall down, but never stay down forever. It’s never too late to do anything, or to start over again.
  • No matter what circumstance I am in, the only comfort I know is God is here to teach me valuable lessons. I know that he is also planning my life in a beautiful and majestic way.
  • Focus: what you think about eventually grows and manifests itself.
  • Momentum: the hardest part isn’t to start, but to keep going and going. Life just doesn’t stop, it’s an ongoing journey.
  • Be at peace.

Last but not least…

Travelling is hella fun.

Japan, you are forever my favourite country.

To more adventures in the future!

Eight Step: Dreams Slowly Become Reality

It’s crazy to recall last weekend’s successes and accomplishments.

It’s always been my dream to speak for a WFG/WSB event. Lo and behold, last Sunday at the Victoria Conference Centre, I stood at the spotlight… took a deep breath, and welcomed the 250+ people audience.

It almost felt surreal to be able to reach out to the crowd and share my story – the story that I’ve really been dying to share ever since I first started in my career.

I know this is only the beginning of many great things, but as I sit back in the silence and reflect on everything in retrospect, it’s even crazier to see how every event unfolded just to lead me to this small, tiny accomplishment.

The confrontation led me to a realization that I needed to change. It supplied me with the right resources to be connected and moved to a new office and a new leadership.

Then, my new mentors and coaches have nurtured me ever since, and have pushed me every day to become better than ever. I am so truly blessed to have awesome people truly believe in my abilities and in turn, they have pushed me to where I was last Sunday, standing in front of everyone, doing the exact things I used to dream of 4 years ago.

What the mind can achieve, it can truly achieve.

It’s amazing what dreaming and setting goals can do.

It’s amazing to see my dreams slowly coming true.

Never in my life have I had so much hope and so much faith that a better life for me and my family is coming.

Last Sunday’s event just made me want to perform and to do better in my career. It made me want to dream bigger and set higher goals. I don’t want to play it small anymore and dream of the things that are within my means and reach.

I mean, it’s absolutely free to dream and set goals. It’s worth millions to do so – because what if the dreams that I dream about now come true in the next 2 years? 5 years? 10 years?

I might as well dream big. Live big… and be BIG!

Short Story Excerpts

Short Story E.: Shooting Star

“There, look!” Marie pointed out the dancing little speck in the dark sky, slowly moving around the horizon. It was cold and chilly that night, but neither Marie or her friends seemed to care. They sneaked into the beach beside the city airport to secure the best spot to watch the most magical night of their lives.
Five expectant souls stood still at this moment, witnessing the beauty of the stars that were spread out like grains in the sand on the night sky. Marie, Trina, Catherine, Ben and Anthony laid down side by side on the grass, silently wishing… silently praying on a….

“Shooting star.” They all sounded out in amazement, as they watched one star fall after the other.

“Whoah. This is awesome.” Ben laughed.

“You know, wouldn’t it be crazy to think that someone else a thousand miles away could be looking at the same sky as you, looking at the same star… wishing for the same thing, to see each other one day: somehow, someway?” Anthony mused as he pointed out at another dancing speck on the wide horizon that lay before him.

“Your souls would be connected at this very moment as you wish on the same star.”

“Yeah.” Marie smiled to herself, as she closed her eyes and made a wish among many of her wishes.

I pray to meet you one day…. Somehow, someway, I will wait for you.

And there, not too far away, another expectant soul grinned to himself as he opened his eyes, silently sounding out his wishes to the skies above.

I pray to meet you one day…. Somehow, someway, I will find you.

Author/Blog Owner Note:

Hola friends! I was inspired by the meteor shower few nights ago and it spurred my creative side to write something.

It’s highly based off of real events, with some twists on it, but I guess it’s a new journal entry technique I’m willing to explore.

Using moments of inspiration, I shall write interesting excerpts that may or may not lead into a story.

For now, enjoy!
